- Age Restricted As stated in our game's rules, this gaming community is NOT for minors, and all who sign up for an account must be at least eighteen (18) years of age in order to join. If you are a minor do not sign up for an account, submit character applications, or contact us by any means. If we find that you are using our websites or services anyway, and do not meet age requirements, we are not liable for your misuse. We will ban your account. If you're under 18, go read a book or touch some grass until you're old enough to join.
- If you are a visitor. First, understand that none of our content, nor anything on the site is yours. You may read the content available, and you can show the site to your friends, who will also abide by the Terms of Use. Do not attempt to hack, circumvent, reverse engineer, or otherwise interfere with the site, our content, hosting, or anything else you don't own. Finally, please understand that you use the site at your own risk. We're not your parents, guardians, or babysitter, so we're not responsible for your using or misusing anything you find here. We are not responsible if you are offended, insulted, disturbed, or otherwise harmed (mentally or physically, but mostly mentally) by our site. If at any point you stop enjoying the use of our site, go hug a hungry troll, or just leave. Either one will suffice.
- If you apply. First of all, thanks for wanting to participate in our game. To protect you and us, we need you to join our site before you can gain access to discussions and the character application. You will need to provide your email address, username, name, age, and nickname (if applicable). Your private information will be kept confidential and will not be released to third parties.
- Impersonation You agree to provide true, current, and complete information about yourself, your age, and your email as prompted by our 'sign up' application form. Don't impersonate anyone. If you provide any information that does not satisfy this provision, or we have reasonable grounds to suspect as much, we have the right to deny your application, future applications, and terminate your account.
- If you are a member. Follow the RULES. Write. Participate. Create. Engage. Have fun.
- If You Link to Us. We're happy to have you link to us, but it's important that we protect the Dark World RPG site. You may link only to the Dark World RPG homepage. DO NOT link directly to files, images, or directories within the Dark World RPG site unless otherwise specified with express written consent.
- Don't pirate our content, graphics, artwork, etc. In other words, don't take anything from this site for it does not belong to you, as stated in section 1. All our content has been created for the Dark World RPG expressly, and usage of this Copyrighted content elsewhere, in part or in whole, by any form or any means is illegal. This is a community of creators, writers, and artists. Don't steal our works. We take our intellectual property rights seriously and respect the intellectual property rights of others. If we see our content in use on other sites without express rights contact will be made to cease and desist use, and legal action may occur if compliance is not met.
- Don't troll. We and our members work hard to create content, so don't use automated means to download data from or modify, publish, transmit, transfer, sell, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, link, display or in any way exploit any content from any database associated with the Dark World RPG site.
- Don't steal our site's bandwidth. Usage of our content is strictly prohibited as stated in section 1.
- Don't solicit. No posting unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of inappropriate solicitation on the forums. We make exceptions for member-created materials, such as artwork.
