Time and Traveling
The beginning of your post will note your character’s region, location, time, and date. This helps others know if they are in the same area and in the same timeframe. Every character in a chapter will be on the same day, even if they are at a different time of day. Some chapters may be on a different day than others, though when the ending of an arc is begun this time frame will get closer until all chapters are on the same day and time.
Even if a character has already ended their day, others may not have, and so that character will have to wait till the day has been concluded to continue. Be careful of getting too far ahead of everyone else, or you may be waiting around a while for the current day to wrap up. Communicating with your fellow players in OOC is key so that everyone agrees to end the day and move on to the next.
Sometimes a time jump can be to the next day, or sometimes it can be a few days ahead to a week after. This can be for plot reasons, such as an event or accounting for characters traveling to a new region. The characters traveling to a different region may need to catch up to the new region timewise, or any characters in the destination region may need to jump forward to catch up to the new arriving characters if they are all moving to a new chapter together. If there are no current players in the region then the date is set by default to however long it took a character to travel to that region.
You will pick up posting on the new date and can just recollect their journey to where they are in a short synopsis. Just remember, even if there are time jumps like this you only get to control what happens for your character. You do not control what other characters do, think, feel, or see during the journey. You can, however, discuss with other players what happened during the journey so you can sync your synopsis.
Region – The city, town, or area your character is located. This could be Rionia, Jade Springs, the West-Road, etc. It’s the place where your chapter group is on the map.
Location - This is a sub-location of the region you are participating in. As an example, if I were in Rionia, I could pick any location in the city of Rionia. The library, the market, the Beautiful Maiden Inn, etc., are examples of locations.
Time - The day begins in the Small Hours and ends at Midnight. If you planned a meeting in the Small Hours you will have to wait till the thread has moved to the next day. (Use these only) - Small Hours, Dawn, Morning, Midday, Afternoon, Evening, Sunset, Dusk, Night, Midnight
Date - the day on which your character is active. Refer to the #Calendar for more information on months and days.
